Philippine Ministry of Energy will allocate 5 billion pesos for rural electrification

According to data from the Ministry of Energy, the Philippines currently has 119 power cooperatives, 16 private power facilities, and 3 municipal power systems supplying electricity to rural areas. Only 15 power cooperatives (12.6%) achieved 100% electrification rate, and 75 power cooperatives (63%) had less than 90% electrification rate.
