Facebook's stock price rose 10% in the third quarter

Because Facebook's newly announced third-quarter financial statements are in good condition, Facebook’s share price has risen by about 10% after the earnings announcement. According to reports, Facebook’s total revenue for the third quarter reached 1.262 billion U.S. dollars.

Currently Facebook’s source of revenue, advertising is still the absolute bulk, reaching 1.09 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 36% year-on-year, and 14% of this revenue comes from mobile. However, although Facebook had always wanted to enlarge and strengthen its own payment business, it does not seem to be showing up yet. Payment and related fee income only accounted for US$176 million, which was a drop of 9% from the previous quarter.

Zuckerberg himself admitted that Facebook’s game is not doing very well, and it’s revenue from Zynga, the largest game developer on the platform, also fell by 20% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, Facebook's users are still growing. Its daily active users have reached 584 million, an increase of 28% over the same period of last year; monthly active users exceeded 1 billion, an increase of 26% over the same period of last year.
