CREE new experimental streetlights have been formed, and Speirs+Major has won the UK Lighting Design Awards “Decade of Design Practice Award†this year by architects Jonathan Speirs and Mark Major in 1992. The streetlight, called Aeroblades, combines Cree's Nano Optic lighting control with BetaLED technology, which is the perfect blend of LED technology innovation and high-end design. Cree has only one requirement for the design company Speirs+Major's luminaire design: abandoning all existing, fixed-type luminaire design concepts, so the appearance of the Aeroblades luminaire series is a bold concept for building streets and outdoor safety lights.

The long, aerodynamic blade shape of this street light pole is aesthetically pleasing even during the day, and the head is modular, easy to maintain and meets the high precision requirements of outdoor applications.
