In January-February 2017, the amount of land-based investment in Taiwan increased by nearly 2 times

According to Taiwan's "Wang" report, Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs Investment Review Conference" released the latest data. The amount of land-funded investment in Taiwan reached $34.923 million in the first two months of 2017, a year-on-year increase of 193.7%, hitting the highest level in the past two years. The main reason for this was the large-scale capital investment in semiconductors at the beginning of the year. According to statistics from the “investment review committee,” a total of 14 land-use investments were approved in February for a single month, an increase of 250% year-on-year, mainly due to the lower base period last year; the investment amount was US$3.123 million, a year-on-year decrease of 43%.
