Professor of Taiwan University obtained invention patent for controlling plant lighting with LED lights

Zhang Zhongliang, an assistant professor of biomechanics at Pingtung University of Science and Technology, led a student to develop a family-style cylindrical dish growth device. The whole process is controlled by computer software. It takes only 25 days to 30 days from sowing to harvest. Water, technology has been patented for invention.

The professor uses self-developed software to control the LED lights above the plants, adjust different spectral wavelengths according to different blocks and growth period, and let the vegetables grow in the most suitable environment, harvesting five to seven days earlier than outdoor planting. Lettuce works best, and celery, leeks, butter lettuce, and vines are also suitable for planting.

It is understood that there are already three manufacturers expressing their interest in cooperation. Currently, they are negotiating. The plant breeding system and lighting module used in the device have obtained invention patents and can also be applied to the lighting of aquaculture fisheries.
