GE enters international industrial Internet of Things and uses Paris as a hub for IoT innovation

General Electric is expanding its presence in Europe to promote innovation and collaboration in the industrial IoT business for European customers and developers.

The new "Digital Chip Factory" headquarters will be located in Paris, creating 250 jobs, part of GE's plan to increase its strength in Europe and its support to partners.

There are currently 11,000 developers using the platform, and GE hopes that after its increased international influence, more people will join the ranks of the software, which is currently used by Capgemini and Scottish Power. . The Scottish Power Company's Smart Grid project uses a digital control system provided by General Electric.

Immelt said: "Since we launched the GE digital business and released the Predix operating system, nearly 11,000 developers have invested under our door, and more than 100 applications have been widely adopted by customers. At the same time as the Paris chip factory opened, GE also established a partnership with French government agencies and NUMA. NUMA is France's first entrepreneurial accelerator with the goal of identifying and developing innovative ideas with potential.
