China Energy News: You describe China's smart energy development as "the old revolution encounters new problems". What are the main problems?

Chen Qingquan: Looking at energy from different categories, the current contradictions are concentrated in four aspects: the contradiction between traditional energy and new energy, the contradiction between centralized energy and distributed energy, the contradiction between primary energy and secondary energy, and the power and chemical energy. contradiction.

China Energy News: What is the current level of China's smart energy system, and how to break through?

Chen Qingquan: Smart energy has made rapid progress in recent years, but most of them just add digital control to the original system, which is called "intelligence." However, smart energy is not simply a data control, but a revolutionary thinking, through the key links in the system and mechanism to achieve cross-border integration.

Cross-border integration must be realized in multiple disciplines, multiple industries, and three-dimensional. On the one hand, this is related to China's energy system. Power, coal, and chemical industries are independent of each other and have a large volume. It is necessary to see the overall situation of the entire energy system and achieve integrated optimization of electricity, heat, and chemical energy across borders. On the other hand, it is the integration of the central and local governments. For example, the “coal to gas” in Hebei last year was a lesson.

Connect "energy" and "information"

China Energy News: You and your team have proposed the "Smart Energy System Roadmap" concept.

Chen Qingquan: We say that energy 1.0 is energy digitalization, energy 2.0 is energy interconnection, energy 3.0 is network fractalization, energy 4.0 is energy intelligence, energy intelligence can break the contradiction between different attributes and structures of energy systems, and carry out Coupling optimization.

With the development of new multi-generation and Internet of Things technologies, China's energy system will exert multiple values, and the new power and chemical polygeneration system will gradually transition to a new carbon-balanced energy ecosystem.

China Energy News: You put forward the above ideas based on the relationship between energy and information. How do you connect the two?

Chen Qingquan: The essence of smart energy is to study the basic relationship between energy and information. The digitalization of energy requires us to work together. At present, there is no energy digital system comparable to Shannon's information theory that greatly releases human potential. There is no unified understanding of the coupling and integration of multiple energy sources.

The way to drive the development of smart energy is model driven, and the other is data driven. In the field of thermal energy and chemical energy, to a certain extent, it depends on the experimental method to establish the system model, so it is necessary to develop data-driven intelligent control.

Therefore we propose the concept of energy operating system. Open energy operating systems, from analog control to digital control to energy management.

China Energy News: How to maximize the potential of this system?

Chen Qingquan: Here I introduced the concept of energy storage entropy. Energy storage entropy represents the potential of ecosystems in the formation process. Many systems in the modern energy system have the self-similarity and self-repetition characteristics of the energy storage structure, that is, the distributed fractal characteristics of resource utilization, forming a branch energy network. The degree of intelligence of the carbon-balanced energy ecosystem depends on the ability of the unit information stream to transform the energy storage entropy into exergy. The biggest advantage of coupled material flow is that it can fully utilize the potential of the system (energy storage entropy), improve energy transmission and equipment utilization of the system, and therefore strengthen the application of energy storage entropy.

China Energy News: You are known as the "father of Asian electric cars", how do you view unmanned driving?

Chen Qingquan: "Mobile means freedom." For more than 100 years, cars have benefited mankind, and they have brought "diseases" to the city. Air pollution, traffic jams, and unsustainable energy have made the car a must.

The "automobile revolution" has arrived. The connotation of the "automobile revolution" has three aspects: first, electrification, second, automatic driving, and third, interconnection and sharing. The ultimate goal of autonomous driving is to achieve unmanned driving, how to achieve unmanned driving, for example, to solve the "last mile" problem first, to achieve automatic parking in the parking lot, and gradually transition.

China Energy News: Artificial intelligence and other factors are gradually joining the automotive industry. Just like the recent Beijing Auto Show, many new concept cars have been introduced. How do IT technologies and traditional cars merge?

Chen Qingquan: After more than 100 years of development, the "body" of the automotive industry is already strong, but the "head" is in recession, so the IT industry is coming in.

The “new forces” of the Beijing Auto Show are very sensitive to the market and familiar with the Internet, but may not be familiar with the auto industry. Doing a car involves tens of thousands of parts and life safety, and in addition to mass production, the threshold for entering the automotive industry is high. I hope that the "new forces" will have awe in the auto industry, and I hope that the auto industry will actively embrace intelligence and realize the cross-border integration of the two industries.

China Energy News: How to win in the integration and go long-term?

Chen Qingquan: In the next 10 years, the automobile industry will be reshuffled. Without core technology and leading talents, it is very dangerous to see subsidies and choose the wrong technical route. In a few days, Walterma lost all its shares. Its business model and services are very good, but the technical route is wrong.

In the long run, we must pay attention to four aspects. One is to comply with government policies, the other is to choose the technical route, the third is to understand the market, and the fourth is to understand finance. Do not opportunistically, when the policy comes out, it swarms and finally kills at a low price.

China Energy News: The safety ethics of driverless driving is being heatedly debated, and there are rumors that in the future, human beings no longer need to take a driver's license.

Chen Qingquan: From a macro perspective, the emergence of new things will certainly have such problems, but it cannot be ruined. In addition, be sure to comply with policies and regulations.

The era of driverlessness is coming, but unmanned driving has to be step by step. It is necessary to achieve intelligent driving first, and it must not be opened at once. It must be piloted on conditional urban roads. There are 6 pilot cities in China, and Wuhan is the last one. .

I can't get a driver's license within 25 years. I can't respond accurately in time, but the general direction is correct.
